FAQs
Q. How do I know if therapy is right for me?A. Working with a therapist is an individual choice and an empowering one. Therapy can help provide insight, support, and new strategies for all types of life challenges. Reaching out is to be admired when you realize you need extra support. Therapy teaches you the coping tools to use to overcome stressful challenges in your life.
Q. Do you provide in-person or online counseling?A. All counseling sessions are conducted via a secure and easy-to-use telehealth platform. Telephone sessions are available if chosen to do so. Teletherapy works best for those with mild to moderate symptoms and are comfortable using technology, and have a quiet, private place to have their sessions.
Q. Who do you work with?
A. Individual counseling is provided for adults and seniors 65+.
Q. What are the length and frequency of sessions?
A. Appointments are scheduled for a 50-60 minute block of time. Length of treatment will vary depending upon client needs.
Q. How much are the sessions?
A. The fee for a one hour individual session is $200. I offer a sliding scale based on financial need.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. A minimum of 24 hours is required to cancel or reschedule.
Q. What forms of payment are accepted?
A. All major credit cards accepted as payment as well as Venmo or bank transfer.
Q. Do you accept insurance?
A. Non-HMO Medicare insurance is accepted. I am out-of-network with all other insurance plans. To determine if you have mental health coverage you should check with your insurance carrier. The following are suggested questions to ask your provider:
• What are my mental health benefits?
• What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
• How many therapy sessions does my plan cover?
• How much does my insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?
I will be happy to answer any questions you have about engaging in therapy. Entering into this partnership requires commitment, trust and mutual respect. I look forward to hearing from you.
